Hi, today we invite you to discover Transnistria – the place where the old USSR is still alive and flourishing. It is a breakaway territory within the internationally recognized borders of Moldova. The country’s national coat of arms still includes the traditional hammer and sickle and the Lenin is revered till today. 

First stop – at Bender Fortress. In 1713, the fortress, the town, and the neighboring village Varniţa were the site of skirmishes (kalabalik) between Charles XII of Sweden, who had taken refuge there with the Cossack Hetman Ivan Mazepa after his defeat in the Battle of Poltava. 

After Bender, we take you to Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria and the 2nd largest town of Moldova. We will take you to the major attractions of Tiraspol, such as: V. Lenin monument and house of soviets, Transnistrian Parliament (25 October Ave, Tiraspol), Afghanistan War Memorial, Monument-tank, and more.

The distillery was founded 1897. Today are the KVINT´s drinks ones of the most popular on the CIS-market and in many countries of the world. The distillery, which has the most modern equipment, kept the century traditions and secrets of preparation of the best beverages, which are transmitted from generation to generation. This is one of the few factories of the Ex-USSR, which has a kosher status certificate.

Monastery

Noul Neamţ is an all-male monastery located in Chiţcani, near Tighina, geographically in Basarabia but controlled by the breakaway Transnistrian authorities. It is also known as Mănastirea Chiţcani, and it is the biggest religious complex under the control of Transnistrian authorities.

Wine Castle

The Castle Mimi is located 30 km from Chisinau Airport and is a destination of international interest, unique in Moldova. The Castle Mimi is currently listed among the most beautiful architectural masterpieces in the world of wine. The story of the castle begins in 1893 when Constantin Mimi, the last governor of Bessarabia, planted the first grape vines on the place that would become legend over the years.
